MANGO signs a strategic agreement with COIN in Italy to open more than 20 new stores by the end of 2027

  • MANGO takes a historic step forward in Italy through a new strategic partnership with COIN, the iconic Italian department store chain, adding 22 MANGO-operated stores in key locations across the country from September 2026 through the end of 2027.
  • The agreement marks a new chapter for fashion retail in Italy and reinforces MANGO’s strong commitment to the Italian market following a record-breaking 2025, with nearly 30% turnover growth and the celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary in the country.

MANGO, one of the leading international fashion brands, is accelerating its expansion in Italy through a strategic partnership with COIN, the historic Italian department store chain. The agreement, which represents a significant milestone for the retail sector in Italy, will bring 22 new MANGO stores to selected COIN locations across the country between September 2026 and the end of 2027.

The collaboration brings together two companies with strong heritage and distinctive identities in their respective markets, combining MANGO’s contemporary and global fashion vision with COIN’s longstanding legacy and nationwide presence in Italy. Through this partnership, Italian customers will gain access to a more immersive and comprehensive MANGO brand experience in some of the country’s most strategic retail destinations.

The 22 new MANGO stores will become key anchors within COIN department stores and will range from 400 to 1.000 sqm of selling space. These locations will showcase MANGO’s full lifestyle offering across Woman, Man and Kids, further strengthening the brand’s visibility and positioning in the Italian market.

The first 8 openings are scheduled for 2026, including major cities such as Bari, Catania and Rome. In 2027, the partnership will expand into northern cities such as Genova, Como and Trieste, while also reinforcing MANGO’s presence in Sicily and Sardinia.

All stores will feature MANGO’s New Med concept, the brand’s Mediterranean-inspired store design that reflects its evolution through a warmer, more contemporary and experiential retail environment, while showcasing MANGO’s differential value proposition.

Daniel López, Chief Expansion & Franchise Officer at MANGO, said: “This agreement will allow the Italian consumers access to all MANGO’s creativity and differential value proposition in excellently located COIN Department Stores. It represents a revolution in the Department Store vision and will as well represent a milestone for our expansion strategy in Italy, coinciding with our 25th anniversary in the country”.

Matteo Cosmi, CEO of COIN, stated: “We are delighted to collaborate with MANGO, one of the leading international fashion brands, renowned for its strong identity, contemporary vision and continued growth. This agreement reinforces our commitment to providing customers with an increasingly relevant and distinctive offering alongside a partner that has successfully established a solid and distinctive position within the fashion industry. At the same time, it further cements COIN’s status as Italy’s most extensive and far-reaching Brand Platform, capable of offering Brands the right setting to express their value, identity and quality”.

The expansion plan follows a strong year for the company in Italy, where MANGO reported 30% turnover growth and opened more than 20 new points of sale in 2025, adding approximately 6,700 m² of retail space. These included new locations in Rome and Milan (Porta Nuova), as well as three standalone MANGO MAN stores in Bologna, Milan and Rome.

MANGO has been present in Italy for 25 years. The company entered the market in 2001 and closed 2025 with 120 points of sale in the country, totalling more than 40,000 m² of retail space, alongside a digital presence through its own online channel and third-party platforms.
