Decarbonisation
Protecting our planet
At Mango, we are aware of the impact we have on the planet and we want to contribute to positive change. Therefore, our sustainability strategy aims to fully reduce our emissions and prioritise our relationship with biodiversity.
Towards 'Net Zero'
Since 2009, we have been calculating Mango's carbon footprint to understand our contribution to climate change and, from there, create a plan to reduce it. Product, transportation, maintenance and building works are some of the areas in which we work with the implementation and monitoring of reduction actions.

2050
This is the year in which we will have reached carbon neutrality
A path towards a better relationship with biodiversity
At Mango, we work to understand and prioritise our relationship with biodiversity. This implies a paradigm shift in how we perceive the world, which now demands that we do so in species, ecosystems and with impact monitoring at multiple levels. As signatories of the Fashion Pact, we recognise that biodiversity loss is one of today's most important risks and we work, day by day, to help prevent it. We are committed to regenerative agriculture as a way of sourcing our raw materials in a way that allows the recovery of soils and ecosystems, while contributing to the progress of communities and farmers.
Commitment to regenerative agriculture
Mango is partnering with Materra, a British-Indian company specialised in designing solutions for the cultivation and sourcing of regenerative cotton, aimed at incorporating a fibre from regenerative agriculture in selected garments in its collection in 2024 for the first time. The project will allow Mango to use cotton grown using sustainable agricultural practices with a positive environmental impact for the territory and biodiversity, and to have full traceability of the value chain of its cotton, from the land to the final garment.
