Mango accelerates its expansion in the United States
During the first half of the year, it will open four stores in the states of New York, New Jersey and Florida
Mango is moving forward in its expansion in the United States with the opening of four new stores during the first half of 2021. Two of them will be located in the Menlo Park and American Dream shopping centres in New Jersey, one in the Roosevelt Field shopping centre in New York and the fourth in the Dadeland shopping centre in Miami (Florida).
“We have spent many years developing our online shopping channel and investing in our brand image in the United States. The next step was to accelerate our physical presence, which we will achieve with these new openings”, Daniel López, Mango's Director of Expansion and Franchises, points out.
The commitment to the North American market, where the brand has been present since 2006, received a boost in late 2017 with the refurbishment of the SoHo store and with the agreement with Macy’s in 2019 to accelerate the firm’s online growth in the country. The agreement also includes the opening of three corners in different Macy’s stores located in New York.
At the same time, Mango made a major investment in the country, both in terms of image and brand. The participation at the New York MET Gala last year and the alliance with famous influencers, such as Leandra Medine, with whom the firm created a capsule collection in October of last year, are clear examples of actions aimed at increasing the brand’s notoriety in the United States.
