MANGO–COIN partnership kicks off: the first store opens in Catania
- The first MANGO store within COIN opens in Catania, on Via Etnea: it is the first concrete realisation of the strategic partnership announced in June.
- Measuring approximately 1,000 sqm across two floors and creating 25 new jobs, the store brings the Woman, Man and Kids lines together under one roof for the first time in Catania, with MANGO's first Kids department in Sicily.
- Openings in Rome, Florence and Bari will follow in the coming months, as part of the agreement to bring 22 new MANGO stores to COIN department stores by the end of 2027.
- The opening is part of the company's 4E Strategic Plan 2024–2026, which aims to strengthen its distinctive value proposition through a strong expansion drive and improved sales across both existing stores and the online channel.
MANGO, an international leader in the world of fashion, officially launches its strategic partnership with COIN, the historic Italian department store chain, with the opening of a new point of sale in Catania. The opening puts into practice an agreement, announced on 3 June, to open 22 new MANGO points of sale in selected prime COIN locations across Italy by the end of 2027, each conceived as a standalone MANGO store with its own exclusive entrance and shop windows.
The new Catania store is located on Via Etnea, the city's main shopping street, in a historic building that represents a highly prestigious location for the brand. Spread over two floors and approximately 1,000 sqm, it brings the brand's full Woman, Man and Kids offering to the city for the first time, marking two important debuts: MANGO Man in Catania and Kids in Sicily. The collections include clothing, footwear and accessories, all designed at MANGO’s Barcelona atelier by a team of more than 500 experts. Combining timeless and versatile staples with more stylish contemporary pieces influenced by the brand’s Mediterranean heritage, MANGO’s collections reflect the brand’s commitment to superior quality and elegant design.
The store creates 25 new jobs and strengthens MANGO's presence on the island, bringing its total number of points of sale in Sicily to 22. It also incorporates the New Med design, the retail format inspired by the brand's Mediterranean heritage and culture, which combines natural materials, warm tones and sustainable elements to create a bright and welcoming shopping space. In Catania, the concept is enriched with exclusive spaces: an external cloister entirely dedicated to MANGO as a patio where customers can pause and relax and a room dedicated exclusively to accessories.
Following the Catania opening, MANGO will open close to 10 more stores in partnership with COIN this 2026 including Rome, Florence, Bari and Milan. These will join the 20 stores already opened this year as part of MANGO's own expansion plan in the country, bringing the total to close to 30 new stores by the end of 2026. Next year, the COIN partnership will extend to cities in northern Italy such as Genova, Como and Trieste, while also strengthening MANGO's presence in Sicily and Sardinia.
These latest openings form part of MANGO’s 4E Strategic Plan 2024–2026, which aims to reinforce the company’s differentiated value proposition, with a strong expansion drive and improved sales in existing stores and its online channel. The strategy builds on MANGO’s strong performance in 2025, reporting a global turnover of €3.8bn, up 13% year on year (16% at constant exchange rates). This momentum continued in the first half of 2026, with global revenue reaching €1.852 billion, up 7.2% compared with the same period last year and 10.7% at constant exchange rates.
Italy has been a key contributor to this growth: turnover in the country rose by 30% in 2025, a year in which MANGO also opened more than 20 new points of sale, adding approximately 6,700 sqm of retail space.
MANGO has been present in Italy since 2001 and is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the country this year. The company ended 2025 with 120 points of sale, totalling more than 40,000 sqm of retail space, in addition to its digital presence through mango.com and other online marketplaces.
