Materials and innovation
Product liability
The product is at the heart of Mango and, therefore, also one of the key elements of the company's sustainability strategy. The commitment to incorporate more sustainable fibres and to incorporate more responsible processes mark our roadmap.
Our most responsible materials
At the heart of our products are the fibres and materials we use. At Mango, we are committed to using 100% more sustainable fibres by 2030. The transition to alternative materials, driven by innovation, reduces our carbon footprint, water impact and adverse effects on nature, while providing our customers with clear visibility of our sustainability efforts.

Textile Exchange preferred-origin fibres
Recycled fibres
Fibers produced from waste. The waste can be textile (used garments, stock or production scraps) or non-textile, such as PET plastic. Cotton, polyester and, to a lesser extent, wool, leather and polyamide are some of the recycled materials used in the fashion industry.
Recycled polyester
Polyester made from waste. Almost all recycled polyester currently on the market comes from PET plastic bottles, although it can also be made from marine debris or polyester fabrics. It is also known as PET.
Recycled cotton
Cotton grown according to organic farming principles, without the use of chemicals or genetically-modified organisms. The term is often used to refer to organic cotton.
Regenerative cotton
Regenerative cotton is a natural fibre that is grown by adopting a set of practices that focus on regenerating the health of the soil and the entire ecosystem of the farm.
Organic cotton
Cotton grown without the use of pesticides, chemical fertilisers or genetically-modified seeds. Instead, sustainable and natural farming methods, such as crop rotation and composting, are used to maintain soil health and control pests.
More responsible packaging
Packaging is another fundamental pillar of Mango's commitment to circular products. The company develops innovative solutions to promote the adoption of materials with a lower environmental impact and to minimise the use of plastics throughout its supply chain. At Mango we aim to have responsible packaging by 2030.
